Shelley & Dan's wedding at home in Surrey
The Look:
We were so happy when we first met Shelley as she instinctively knew the sort of colour palette and textures that would perfectly compliment her personal style and the ambience she wanted for her wedding to Dan. Between us we quickly landed on a colour palette of Naturals, Champagne, Toffee, Mocha and whites with a hint of Gold. A ‘modern vintage’ feel inspired by Shelleys stunning Jesus Peiro dress was the obvious choice, which lead us to a selection of cool white peonies and Snapdragons paired with luxury Quicksand roses, Mocha Lisianthus and Copper Beech.
The wedding itself was a very intimate affair with close friends and family. Shelley’s bridal bouquet was a heavenly fusion of clean fresh whites, shimmering with shades of ivory and mocha and studded with deep chocolate cosmos. The bridesmaids bouquets and buttonholes used a complimentary mix of flowers, while the flower girls wore Alice bands and carried posies made of Bunny Tail Grasses tied with trailing silk ribbon. For the marquee reception at home the aesthetic was both luxurious and elegant with a natural feel. An on-trend style with an element of fun, with the flowers being the key focal point of the decorations, creating a Wow! effect for guests as they arrived.
For the tables we designed white compote bowls with flowers cascading out, surround by glass bottles of sweet peas and other bridal flowers to create a gorgeous mix of textures and shapes. We included scented Bay and Rosemary tea lights to really bring the scent of the garden inside. A chandelier of flowers and foliage was suspended above the circular bar and an arresting asymmetric arch framed the entrance to the marquee, overflowing with Toffee, Quicksand, Bailey and Tibet Roses, Mocha Lisianthus, Sweetpeas, Amaranthus, Snapdragons, Achellia and Copper Beech.
