Ahh Toni and Matt – what a beautiful couple who had the most perfect day! We loved working with lots of hops and tones of green to create the perfect backdrop to their day. Toni said: “We loved the idea of hops as they have a brewery at Botley, we were having the lager and IPA from there as part of the reception drinks for the wedding so it fit perfectly. The long tables were made for hop runners so that was our starting point. We then wanted to keep everything else as undone as possible as we like a natural, rustic look so asked for a mixture of white wild flowers and ferns. We let Mad Lilies do their thing and it was so much better than I ever could have imagined!!”
Toni’s bouquet fitted with the natural vibes of the day and was designed to look as if picked from an English country garden with pops of white from Roses, Spray Majolika, Veronica and Waxflower, which shone amongst the green.
We asked Toni what her best piece of advice for our future brides would be and she said “Invest money in the big things, food, flowers, music, photographer, videographer, it’ll be worth it. Really don't worry so much about all the smaller additional stuff. With an amazing venue like Botley and the supplier teams they recommend and work with you really can’t go wrong. Have an idea and structure of what you want but let the creatives then do their thing.” – we love it when our couples completely trust us to execute their vision!
